A new verdict has been read for former judge of Barda District Court, Elsun Ahmadov, who was previously imprisoned on bribery charges.
According to Oxu.Az citing APA, the verdict was announced at the Nasimi District Court.
The court sentenced Ahmadov to 5 years and 6 months in prison under Article 178.2.2 (fraud - repeatedly committed) of the Criminal Code.
Earlier, Ahmadov was convicted under Article 311.3.3 (large-scale bribery) and sentenced to 5 years in prison. That sentence was upheld by the Ganja Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
