A fire broke out in a five-story residential building in Sumgait's Haji Zeynalabdin settlement. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident occurred in an apartment on the fifth floor.
The fire was extinguished quickly. The flames damaged a shoe rack and an electrical outlet in the hallway. No injuries were reported.
Preliminary reports indicate the fire was caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
