Haji Tahir Abbasov, the imam of the Imamzade pilgrimage complex and the Gazi of the Ganja region of the Caucasus Muslims Office, has developed serious health issues.
Suffering from diabetes, he underwent eye surgery in Baku some time ago. Now, complications have arisen in his other eye, and he has nearly lost his vision.
Preliminary assessments suggest the surgery was unsuccessful. Reportedly, Abbasov will undergo another surgical procedure in Baku.
