A kindergarten director was stabbed in her office by her ex-husband in Tovuz.

According to Oxu.Az citing Lent.az, the incident occurred at a kindergarten in Dönük Qırıqlı village.

Elchin Safarov, 50, entered the kindergarten and argued with his ex-wife, director Shafiga. During the argument, he choked her and then stabbed her in the back several times.

Safarov was detained by police and charged under Article 157 (assault) of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The court ordered him to be administratively arrested for one month.
