A social media dispute in Baku turned violent. A man, Asad Bashirov, saw an unknown person messaging his wife on Instagram. He arranged a meeting and brought his brother, nephew, and brother-in-law.
The victim, Habil Yusifov, was ambushed in Masazir but escaped. However, in Binaqadi, traffic forced him to stop, and the four attackers destroyed his car with baseball bats and other objects, causing damage worth 15,712 manats.
They then dragged him out and beat him. The court found all guilty of hooliganism, giving suspended sentences. The property damage charge was dropped.
