Sakit Mammadov has been sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison for stabbing a customer in a restaurant in Khirdalan.
The verdict was read at the Sumgayit Heavy Crimes Court. The incident occurred at the "Baku Nights" restaurant in Khirdalan, Absheron district.
Sakit came to the restaurant with friends and drank beer. At midnight, the restaurant owner announced closing time. The intoxicated Togrul Babayev objected and ordered music.
During the conflict, Togrul threw a beer mug at Sakit. Sakit then stabbed Togrul three times in the back with a knife.
Police arrested Sakit and handed him over to the investigation. The court sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
