A teenager has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for murdering an 11th-grade student outside a school in Ganja.
The Ganja Heavy Crimes Court convicted Farid Shabanov of intentional murder. The court sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
The incident occurred on January 23, 2024. Farid Shabanov argued with Raul Rahimov, an 11th-grade student at the same school, outside school No. 8 named after M.P. Vagif. The argument turned into a fight. Shabanov attacked Rahimov with a brass knuckle and a knife. Rahimov died in the hospital from his injuries.
Police arrested Shabanov and handed him over to investigators.
