Jalilabad District Executive Authority distributed meat to families of martyrs for Eid al-Adha. Videos on social media claim the meat was spoiled and unusable.
Residents reported that the meat had turned green, was infested with worms, and had a strong odor. Officials stated that due to hot weather and negligence, some packages were damaged but the issue has been resolved.
"Meat was sent to 1800 families. A few portions spoiled due to the butcher's oversight and delivery delays. They have been replaced," the authority said.
