A strong wind in Mingachevir caused large trees to fall. After rain, the wind uprooted two poplar trees on Aliağa Vahid Street.
No injuries were reported, but pedestrian and vehicle traffic was severely disrupted. A witness described the incident: "I was sitting on the balcony drinking tea. Suddenly I heard a loud noise and the lights went out. When I went outside, I saw the tree had fallen."
The strong wind also caused damage in the Ismayilli district. The sudden storm toppled large trees on Heydar Aliyev and Hasan bey Zardabi streets, restricting traffic for about two to three hours.
Relevant authorities have been dispatched to the areas, and necessary work is underway to eliminate the consequences.
