A tragic incident occurred in Imishli: an 11th-grade student drowned in the Araz River. The accident happened in the village of Rasully. The teenager went swimming with a friend and couldn't swim.

Relative Mehman Jafarov said: "He came home after the exam. His father works in a store, he went to him, then came to the river. He drowned while swimming. The child next to him screamed for help. The water level was high, he couldn't swim."

Ministry of Emergency Situations divers and rescue teams have been deployed. Search operations continue.

June 8: To facilitate searches, water volume from the Bahramtapa hydro node has been reduced.

The deceased, Turan Mirishli, was an 11th-grade student. EMERCOM teams are involved in the search.
