The Ganja Heavy Crimes Court has concluded the trial of Vusal Mammadov, accused of causing a traffic accident that resulted in two deaths.
Mammadov was sentenced to 5 years in prison, to be served in a penal settlement.
According to the indictment, Mammadov, a physical education teacher from Shamkir, was driving his family and relatives to Gadabay for a vacation. On the way back, he lost control of his KIA and the car rolled into a ravine.
His wife Azada Mammadova (born 1991) and relative Asaf Tapdigov (born 1973) died at the scene. The driver and three other passengers were hospitalized with injuries.
