The trial of Vusal Mammadov, accused of causing a fatal road accident that resulted in two deaths, has concluded at the Ganja Heavy Crimes Court.
According to Oxu.Az, a verdict was delivered. The court sentenced V. Mammadov to 5 years in prison, to be served in a penal colony.
The indictment states that V. Mammadov lived in Shamkir and worked as a physical education teacher at a secondary school. He went on a vacation with his family and relatives to Gadabay district. While returning, he lost control of his KIA vehicle and it overturned into a ravine.
As a result, his wife Azada Mammadova (born 1991) and relative Asaf Tapdigov (born 1973) died at the scene. The driver and three other passengers were hospitalized with various injuries.
