A subsidiary of Acadia Healthcare, San Diego Health Alliance, was ordered by a California jury to pay $105 million in damages following an employment lawsuit.
The former employee, terminated in October 2023, alleged retaliatory termination. Fashion Valley denied the claims.
On May 12, the jury awarded $35 million in compensatory and $70 million in punitive damages.
Acadia Healthcare is not a direct party and disagrees with the verdict, planning post-trial motions and appeal.
Acadia's stock closed at $25.30, down from $26.80.
