Tehran's latest peace proposal to the United States includes ending hostilities on all fronts including Lebanon, the withdrawal of U.S. forces from areas near Iran, and reparations for destruction caused by the U.S.-Israeli war, state media reported.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Tehran also seeks the lifting of sanctions, the release of frozen funds, and an end to the U.S. naval blockade, according to IRNA.
While President Donald Trump previously rejected a similar offer as "garbage," he has now paused planned attacks and sees a "very good chance" of a deal limiting Iran's nuclear program.
A Pakistani source confirmed Islamabad relayed the proposal to Washington. "The sides keep changing their goalposts, we don't have much time," the source said.
An Iranian official suggested Washington may be softening, agreeing to release a quarter of frozen funds and permitting some nuclear activity. The U.S. has not confirmed these concessions.
