Russian astronomer Yevgeny Burmistrov has warned that asteroid 2024 YR4 could potentially collide with Earth in 2032. He stated that while theoretically possible, the probability is extremely low.
The impact zone could cover an area with a radius of 30 km, equivalent to a large metropolis. Currently, the probability is only 0.0017%.
More accurate data will be available after the asteroid's next approach in 2028. Burmistrov emphasized that current assessments are preliminary.
