Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has dismantled an international spy network operating against Turkey.

Oxu.Az reports citing Haber Global that MIT identified 9 individuals working for two different foreign intelligence services within the spy network.

Simultaneous operations in four regions led to the detention of 7 people, including the network's leader. The other 2 members were already in prison for other crimes.

A court ordered the arrest of the 7 detained individuals. The network is accused of collecting sensitive information on civil society organizations, associations, ethnic groups, and state officials in Turkey.
