11 Pakistani and 20 Iranian nationals who were aboard ships detained by the US have been repatriated from Singapore to their home countries.

Oxu.Az reports that Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made a post on social media platform X.

"I am pleased to inform that the repatriation of 11 Pakistani and 20 Iranian nationals from ships detained by the United States in international waters has been successfully carried out via Singapore. All individuals are in good health and spirits," the Foreign Minister said.

According to him, the seafarers were first taken from Singapore to Bangkok, and then sent on to Islamabad. They are expected to arrive in the Pakistani capital on the evening of May 15.

Ishaq Dar added that Pakistan will also assist in the return of the Iranian nationals to their country.

Recall that on May 4, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry had released information about the repatriation of over 20 crew members of the Iranian cargo ship "Touska," which was confiscated by the US in the Gulf of Oman. It was stated that these steps were taken in coordination with Washington and Tehran.
