The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expects to begin inspections at Iran's nuclear facilities soon, based on agreements between Washington and Tehran.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that a memorandum of understanding exists, clearly noting that the nuclear part will be under control. The IAEA is responsible for this control, and inspections are necessary. Technical work has begun, and the agency hopes to start inspections as soon as possible.
Regarding the location of Iran's highly enriched uranium stockpiles, Grossi noted that they most likely remain where they were in June 2025. The main part is at the Fordow facility, with some at Natanz. This is their understanding, but access to these sites is needed to confirm.
During the last visit in June 2025, IAEA experts measured, weighed, and sealed all materials. Therefore, before any steps, they must return to verify the seals' integrity and ensure no material is missing. This is their utmost priority.
