Bond.az - Stifel raised its price target on Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) to $282 from $250 while maintaining a Buy rating on the stock.
The chipmaker reported first-quarter revenue of $81.6 billion, up 85% year-over-year and above the $78.7 billion consensus estimate. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.87, beating the $1.75 consensus. The strong performance reflects revenue growth of 65% over the last twelve months, with the company maintaining an impressive gross profit margin of 71%.
Nvidia guided second-quarter revenue to $91.0 billion with adjusted gross margin of 75.0% and operating expenses of $8.3 billion, all above consensus expectations. Stifel introduced fiscal year 2029 estimates in conjunction with the price target increase.
The firm said Nvidia’s Vera CPU provides incremental revenue visibility of $20 billion and a total addressable market of $200 billion, on top of a $1 trillion floor. The new reporting framework quantifies the company’s diversification thesis, according to Stifel.
Stifel believes Nvidia is positioned in markets that combine to yield a total addressable market exceeding $100 billion exiting 2025 and a longer-term opportunity that could exceed $1 trillion. The firm expects near-to-medium term opportunities to come primarily from high-performance computing, hyperscale and cloud data center, and enterprise and edge computing.
