US President Donald Trump has called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a "very good friend".

According to Oxu.Az citing TRT Haber, Trump made these remarks while answering journalists' questions at the White House.

"He is a very good friend of mine and we have worked together very well. I like him. Erdoğan is a great leader and a very strong man. He respects me, and I respect him," Trump emphasized.
