Today, the opening ceremony of the SABAH Art Festival was held at the Museum of Modern Art in Baku.
The event aims to showcase the creative achievements of students studying in art fields under the SABAH groups project, increase interest in education and creativity among youth, and introduce the public to successes in higher education.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of state bodies, heads of higher education institutions, art figures, artists, and other guests.
An exhibition of design and decorative-applied art samples by SABAH students of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts (AzRA) was organized. The exhibition featured artistic carpets, ceramics, glass, metal, textiles, decorative paintings, and design works.
Within the opening program, a theatrical composition titled "Artist, come paint my lover" was performed by SABAH students of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ADMİU).
Later, a fashion show of garments created by AzRA SABAH students was presented. The show highlighted the young designers' individual approaches, use of diverse materials, and modern style in form and color.
The exhibition of AzRA SABAH students' works will continue at the Museum of Modern Art on July 2-3 and will be open to all visitors.
