Bond.az -- Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) has been hit with a proposed class-action lawsuit by consumers seeking refunds for inflated product costs from tariffs later ruled unlawful by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The lawsuit, filed in Seattle federal court, alleges the e-commerce giant collected hundreds of millions of dollars in unlawful tariff expenses by raising prices on imported goods before the high court intervened.

In February, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump overstepped his authority by using the IEEPA to impose sweeping tariffs. Thousands of companies have filed for refunds, but Amazon has reportedly abstained.

The plaintiffs argue Amazon's inaction is a calculated move to appease the administration. The complaint cites an incident where Trump called Jeff Bezos after Amazon considered showing tariff impacts, though the company denied it.
