Argentina's monthly inflation rate declined to 2.6% in April, down from 3.4% in March, according to data released by national statistics agency INDEC.
The figure came in slightly above the analyst forecast of 2.5%.
Annual inflation through April stood at 32.4%, a marginal decrease from March’s 32.6% rate and matching analyst expectations.
Transportation costs rose 4.4% in April compared to the previous month, marking the largest increase among all sectors. Education followed with a 4.2% monthly increase.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages registered the smallest monthly change at 1.5%, while recreation and culture saw a 1% increase.
Price increases were recorded across all sectors during the month, INDEC reported.
