The remains of Rashadat Piriyev, a martyr of the First Karabakh War missing for 32 years, have been discovered.
Extensive investigations, exhumations, and DNA identification by Azerbaijani state agencies confirmed his identity.
The remains will be handed over to his family soon. He will be buried on May 22 in his native Yeni Dashkend village, Barda district.
Rashadat Piriyev was born on October 1, 1973, in Barda. He fought as a communications operator and military equipment neutralization specialist in heavy battles for Kalbajar, Lachin, Agdam, and Agdara.
He was martyred on February 11, 1994, in a battle for Yangshaq village, Kalbajar.
