The delegation led by Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov watched the night phase of the multinational joint exercise "EFES-2026" at Ozdere military camp.
According to Oxu.Az, the Defense Ministry released information about the event.
Guests first visited the defense industry exhibition held within the framework of the event, where they were introduced to military weapons and equipment samples.
Turkey's National Defense Minister, along with defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other high-level observers, highly appreciated the night-time seizure of a simulated enemy vessel, coastal defense organization, air reconnaissance and fire support by helicopters, and various tasks executed by artillery forces and other units.
It is noted that the main goal of the exercise, involving military personnel from 50 countries, is to improve methods and skills of joint use of weapons and assets from the ground forces, navy, and air force of participating countries during large-scale operations.
The exercise also aims to strengthen coordination among military contingents, ensure effective use of Tactical Data Link systems, develop cybersecurity capabilities during military operations, and form a common cybersecurity understanding.
