The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and the University of Birmingham, organized a practical seminar on the application of artificial intelligence in public administration. This event was held within the framework of the "Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2028."
Held at the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), the seminar brought together deputy heads of state bodies and subordinate organizations responsible for digital transformation, including deputy ministers, deputy chairmen of agencies, and other senior officials.
The main goal of the seminar was to formulate strategic approaches to using AI in public administration, study international best practices, and promote the responsible application of agent-based AI solutions to enhance government efficiency.
Participants were presented with the fundamentals of AI technologies, capabilities of agent-based AI systems, examples of their application in the public sector, and the role of AI in improving the quality of public services.
During practical sessions, participants developed skills in using agent-based AI solutions and exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption in public administration. International experience, assessment of AI readiness, and key directions for digital transformation strategies were also discussed.
It should be noted that one of the main directions of the "Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2028" is to enhance the knowledge and skills of senior officials in digital transformation and modern technologies. To this end, the seminar also presented approaches to the use of AI in rulemaking and the development of more effective management decisions.
