In the ancient city of Ganja, centuries-old Ashura traditions are still alive. On the 10th day of Muharram - Ashura - charity tables are set up along the roads. These tables are organized by homeowners or business owners.
"Every year on Ashura, we set up a charity table. Neighbors gather and share. Many passersby also join: women, children, and strangers," a resident told Baku TV.
Another resident noted: "The Ashura ceremony is a great expression of respect and reverence for the Prophet's family. The values of this day are very positive. The bread, even water on the table is considered valuable before Allah and heals people's souls."
