US Vice President JD Vance revealed in an interview with "UnHerd" that Washington and Tehran have reached a principal agreement to establish a military communication channel.

The channel, based on the outcomes of Swiss negotiations, aims to reduce tensions and regulate contentious issues between the two countries.

According to Vance, Iran has agreed to send a representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Doha to establish contacts with a US Central Command (CENTCOM) representative.

Recall that the first round of US-Iran delegation meetings in Switzerland concluded on June 22.
