Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on Saturday that his forecast of a $200 billion market for CPUs includes China, signaling long-term demand despite U.S.-China tech tensions.
Central processing units are gaining prominence as businesses adopt agentic AI. Huang assured investors that new products will help Nvidia surpass $1 trillion in sales forecast for its flagship AI chips.
Speaking in Taipei, Huang confirmed that the U.S. government has licensed Nvidia to sell H200 chips, but Chinese officials have yet to approve. He emphasized that the Chinese market is very important and large.
Nvidia has invested heavily in Taiwan's supply chain. Huang plans to meet TSMC and noted that production of the Vera Rubin platform is ramping up, making for a busy second half.
Regarding chip smuggling, Huang said Nvidia is rigorous in explaining regulations to partners and hopes Super Micro will improve compliance.
