Albania's Deputy Minister of Finance Endrit Yzeiraj announced at the Islamic Development Bank annual meeting in Baku that opening a direct air route between Tirana and Baku is a top priority.
Yzeiraj highlighted the broad potential for cooperation in tourism, energy, transport, and culture between Albania and Azerbaijan. He emphasized the strategic importance of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project.
The deputy minister also noted plans to supply natural gas from Azerbaijan for the gasification of Korça city. He added that shared historical and cultural heritage contributes to strengthening bilateral ties.
