Natiq Amirov, Assistant to the President, announced the expansion of modern irrigation systems in agriculture under the new State Program.
The program for 2026-2030 will increase wheat and cotton productivity in specialized regions, and boost the number of intensive orchards and greenhouse complexes.
Additionally, the capacity of cold storage and grain silos will be expanded, livestock breeds improved, milk and meat production increased, and aquaculture developed.
Amirov emphasized that these measures aim to enhance agricultural efficiency, create added value, and strengthen the country's food security.
