An 11-year-old boy survived alone in a forest in China for nearly two weeks after getting lost.

According to Oxu.Az, citing "Need To Know", the teenager went missing on May 18 in a forest near Anhua Village, Guangdong Province. Authorities joined the search the next day.

The boy was finally found on May 30. Shortly before that, a herbalist discovered the boy's clothing in the jungle and alerted police. A search team and specially trained dogs were deployed to locate the boy, who was successfully rescued.

It was determined that he lost significant weight and had several scratches on his body, but no serious health issues were found.

The boy survived by eating figs and drinking rainwater. After a medical examination, he was reunited with his parents.
