Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan have launched an electronic exchange of permit blanks for international road transport.

According to an official statement from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport, this move will eliminate paper carriers and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

Permit documents are now digitally processed via shared information networks.

All details of electronic permits, including carrier company and vehicle data, are sent directly to the databases of the four countries.

The system can detect illegally obtained permits, leading to border crossing bans and fines.
