Warren Buffett, one of the world's richest people, has not donated to Bill Gates' foundation this year. This breaks a 20-year tradition.

The reason is an ongoing investigation into the foundation's possible ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Buffett usually donated billions each June or July. From 2006 to 2025, he transferred about $48 billion in total.

Bill Gates' name appears in documents related to the Epstein case. He previously apologized to foundation staff for his association with Epstein. The foundation hired law firm WilmerHale to investigate potential links.

Epstein's full dossier was released on January 30, 2026. It includes names of royalty, politicians, and business figures.
