China's "CAS Space" aerospace company launched five new satellites into space on May 15. The information was released by China Central Television.
The launch took place at 12:33 Beijing time (08:33 Baku time) from the Dongfeng commercial site within the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Kinetica-1 (locally named Lijiang-1) carrier rocket was used.
The satellites placed into orbit include Taijing-3, Tianyi-50, Tianyan-27, and Jilin-1.
China is rapidly expanding its national space strategy, including lunar exploration, meteorology, communication, and navigation technologies. With state support, Chinese researchers are studying Mars and asteroids. The Chinese space station is open to international partnership. In 2025, China conducted 92 space flights, setting a new record.
