Egyptian residents and visitors are facing a cash shortage at ATMs on the eve of Eid al-Adha.

According to Oxu.Az, this information was reported by the RIA Novosti agency.

In Egypt, long non-working days have been declared from May 26 to 31 due to the holiday. Already on May 25, serious difficulties with withdrawing cash emerged in the capital Cairo, with most ATMs displaying notices that no money was available.

Long queues formed in front of the few ATMs that had cash. In connection with the current situation, the Egyptian parliament has demanded that the government and the country's Central Bank resolve this problem as soon as possible.
