Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of agreements signed with Azerbaijan in the energy sector.
Oxu.Az reports that he made a post on social network X.
The Prime Minister noted that important documents in energy and transport were signed following a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Kobakhidze said these agreements will contribute to further strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries.
"I was pleased to meet with President Ilham Aliyev within the framework of WUF13. During the meeting, we discussed strategic partnership, paying special attention to joint projects that enhance the role of our region in global connections," he stated.
In a briefing to journalists, Kobakhidze spoke about the restoration of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline. "This pipeline was practically suspended and not operating for the last three years. Under the new agreement, its operation will be restored together with the Azerbaijani side," the Prime Minister said.
He also noted that the pipeline remains the property of Georgia but will be brought back to full operation through cooperation with Azerbaijan, generating tens of millions in annual revenue for the country.
