On the morning of June 2, a powerful solar flare of class M, the second-highest intensity, was recorded.
According to Russia's Applied Geophysics Institute, the flare occurred at 7:45 Moscow time (8:45 Baku time) and lasted 5 minutes.
Solar flares are classified into A, B, C, M, and X categories based on X-ray intensity. M-class flares can cause magnetic storms on Earth.
