Iranian cyberattacks against Israel have sharply increased this year, according to a senior Israeli security official cited by Reuters.
Yossi Karadi, director of Israel's National Cybersecurity Directorate, said that during Israel's military operations against Iran in June 2025, authorities recorded nearly 1,600 cyber intrusions. In the same month of 2026, the number reached approximately 4,800.
"Some groups are very experienced. We can fight them, but we must take this issue seriously. Unlike the kinetic sphere, there is no ceasefire in cyberspace," Karadi noted.
The attacks targeted Israel's critical infrastructure, central organizations, small and medium enterprises, as well as systems used by the public. Victims include law firms and accounting companies.
Karadi added that companies with weaker defenses often lost access to their computer systems, though he did not name specific entities.
