Education Minister Emin Amrullayev has approved new rules on the use of mobile and electronic devices in preschool and general education institutions. The decision came into force on June 26.

According to the rules, students are prohibited from using mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and other electronic devices during lessons. Devices must be kept turned off or in silent mode in designated storage areas throughout the class.

Exceptions are allowed only with the teacher's permission for educational purposes, such as accessing digital materials or conducting presentations. In emergencies, devices may be used for communication.

In case of violations, parents will be notified, and preventive measures will be implemented. Schools will regularly conduct awareness campaigns on digital solutions, information security, and cybersecurity.
