Details have emerged of a fatal traffic accident in the Ismayilli district.
According to the Baku City Traffic Police Department (BDYPI), preliminary investigations suggest that the driver's distraction by a mobile phone caused the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
BDYPI warns drivers: "Looking at your phone behind the wheel for just a few seconds can lead to irreversible tragedy. No call, message, or notification is worth a human life. Keep your focus on the road."
The accident occurred yesterday around 4 PM in Ismayilli. A Mercedes car lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier. As a result, Ilgar Suleymanov, 52, and Elmira Dukhiyeva, 67, died at the scene, and one other person was injured.
