In response to Iran's demands, Washington has presented Tehran with five conditions to continue the process of resolving the conflict between the two countries.

The United States categorically refuses to pay any compensation for damage caused during the bombing of Iranian territory. Additionally, Washington demands the transfer of 400 kg of enriched uranium from Iran to the US and the retention of only one nuclear facility in Iran.
The US does not intend to release more than 25% of frozen Iranian assets. The issue of halting the war on all fronts must be resolved directly during negotiations.
On February 28, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the IDF had carried out a preemptive strike on Iran. Later, US President Donald Trump confirmed that his country also participated in the military operation against Iran.
Iran responded by launching dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel. The IDF confirmed the attacks, sirens sounded across the country, and air defense systems were activated.
On March 1, it was announced that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed during the attacks.
Iran launched missile strikes on most neighboring countries hosting US military bases. As a result, airspace in those countries was temporarily closed.
Serious problems also arose for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
On April 8, Donald Trump announced that Washington had agreed to a two-week ceasefire just hours before his ultimatum to Tehran expired.
Later, the first meeting of the parties was held in Islamabad. The second meeting, scheduled for April 22, did not take place.
