People's Artist Afaq Bashirqizi has undergone surgery. Her doctor, Turab Gasimov, stated that the operation, though risky, was successful.
"The surgery went well. It was a bit risky. She can move her legs normally. There was compression in her spinal cord. She will need rehabilitation," the doctor said.
The actress herself said: "The surgery was at 10 a.m. By 8 p.m., I got up and walked. This is a great joy for me. I've had 14 surgeries so far, but never turned to foreign doctors."
