The State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been declared a winner in an international competition.
Organized by Global Brand Magazine, Azerbaijan won in the category "Best Government Innovation in Heritage Conservation."
The award was given for activities including the creation of the "Unified Cultural Registry" information system, integration of over 3,000 immovable cultural heritage examples into a digital platform, and large-scale inventory and assessment of historical monuments in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur.
The application of Geographic Information System, drone and satellite technologies, and the "MyCulture" unified personal cabinet system were also highly valued.
Other winners include the Japanese Cabinet Office, German Federal Employment Agency, UK National Health Service, Singapore Government Technology Agency, and others.
This achievement demonstrates Azerbaijan's growing influence in cultural heritage management.
