Gulnara Safarova, the only Azerbaijani musician promoting Azerbaijani classical music in Japan, gave an interview to Oxu.Az.
She is the first Azerbaijani to serve on the jury of piano competitions in Tokyo.
She has lived in Japan since 2008 and founded a private music school called "Music House".
A concert titled "Timeless Classical Music: From Azerbaijan to the World" will be held in Tokyo on July 25.
The concert will feature the presentation of a CD and sheet music book of works by Gara Garayev.
In 2025, Safarova was awarded a medal for promoting Azerbaijani culture abroad.
