Honored Artist Vugar Aliyev was born in 1970 in Baku into an intellectual family. His first steps into the world of art began at age three with simple scribbles on paper.
His father's paintings and creative environment turned into a magic of colors in his childhood. The character of artist Mikhailo from the film 'Distant Shores' further strengthened his interest in art.
He studied at the Azim Azimzade State Art School and later at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts. For 40 years, he has been devoted to this art, and since 2016 he has been guiding young artists as a teacher at the university.
In his works, he reflects the bright, positive, and hopeful sides of life. He emphasizes music as the greatest motivation source for his creativity. According to him, every painting has its own rhythm and melody.
