A grand literary and artistic evening was held at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre to mark the 80th anniversary of Sabir Rustamkhanli, the People's Poet and prominent public figure.
Before the event, the National Library organized an extensive book exhibition in the theatre foyer, showcasing all of Rustamkhanli's published works and presenting four new books.
Officials including Adalat Valiyev, Samir Sharifov, Adil Karimli, and other dignitaries attended the gala.
The evening began with a video tribute. Samir Sharifov read the prime minister's congratulatory letter. Speeches were delivered by academicians Rafael Huseynov, Isa Habibbeyli, and Fazail Ibrahimli.
Artistic performances featured poems and songs by Rustamkhanli, a clip from the film "Javad Khan", and a dance piece "Zafar". Rustamkhanli expressed gratitude, and the event concluded with the "Zafar" dance.
