U.S. President Donald Trump remains in excellent health and is fully fit to perform his duties, according to a medical memo released by the White House on Friday.
The memo, written by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, stated that Trump continues to show strong overall physical and cognitive health.
The evaluation found that the 79-year-old president continues to experience slight lower leg swelling, though improved from last year.
Bruising on Trump's hands was noted as benign and consistent with handshaking while taking aspirin.
Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday for his third evaluation in 13 months. He told reporters afterward that "everything checked out perfectly."
The memo said cardiac function is normal and neurological examination showed normal mental status, with no concerns for depression or anxiety.
Recommendations include increased physical activity, weight loss, dietary guidance, and low-dose aspirin use.
Trump, who turns 80 in June, became the oldest U.S. president. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 238 pounds.
