The 114th session of the International Labour Conference is underway in Geneva, Switzerland, with participation from government representatives and social partners of ILO member states.
Speaking at the session, Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), stated that protecting labor rights, ensuring occupational safety, and promoting decent work are key priorities of Azerbaijan's socio-economic policy under President Ilham Aliyev.
He noted that systematic measures are being taken to ensure reliable protection of labor rights, the legal framework is being improved, and the application of international labor standards is expanding.
Mammadov emphasized that the newly signed General Collective Agreement for 2026-2028 is a crucial document defining mutual obligations and joint actions between the government, employers, and trade unions in socio-economic and labor relations.
