On May 17, 2026, the second attempt of the master's degree admission exam will be held. The State Examination Center announced this information.
The exam will be organized in seven cities and regions of the republic: Baku, Sumgait, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Absheron, Mingachevir, and Lankaran, across 92 buildings in total.
The exam starts at 10:00 AM simultaneously in all buildings. The admission regime ends at 09:45 AM, 15 minutes before the exam begins. Latecomers will not be allowed into the exam building.
The exam will test bachelor graduates' foreign language listening comprehension skills. The exam will start with the audio recording of a listening text. Everyone must be in the hall 15 minutes before the start to ensure silence and preparation for the listening text.
The exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Three hours after the start, the time for answering test questions ends, and answer sheets are collected. Then, participants receive essay sheets. They have 30 minutes to write the essay.
Results will be announced in two stages. Within two to three days after the exam, results for closed and open-ended questions with coded answers will be published. The final exam score will be presented after the essay is graded.

It is forbidden to bring mobile phones, calculators, books, bags, and similar items into the exam building.
Applications were accepted online from April 1-14. A total of 23,089 bachelor graduates applied. Among them, 21,372 will take the exam in Azerbaijani, and 1,717 in Russian. 15,293 are current year graduates, 7,796 are previous years' graduates, and 55 are foreign citizens.
23 participants with disabilities will also take the exam. Special halls have been allocated, and individual supervisors assigned for visually impaired candidates.
Registered participants can print their exam admission slips from the State Examination Center's website starting May 8. They must bring their ID and admission slip on the exam day.
